Well, as I mentioned in the latest update on GlenDronach Batch 16 shops are given their allocation and prices this week.
We have just been informed Batch 16 will start around £75 for the youngest one, 12 years old, and up to mid £300 for the oldest one, 28 year old. This has been verified by two individual shops in the UK. However, since we saw quite a range between the prices of the bottles in the earlier batches we are not sure how and if shops buying directly from GlenDronach are tied to a certain RRP or not. Please take these price indications therefore as “ish”!
Now, if the price range will be between £75 to £350, it will mean that compared to the earlier batches the youngest one will be almost priced the same as the earlier ones while the oldest will see quite a price increase.
I know, we all hoped for a complete price list by now but I’m sure it will be out later this week.

The Glenlivet 12 year old was discontinued in 2015 and was replaced by the Founder’s Reserve which became a big seller for the distillery selling around 280.000 cases a year.
However, Glenlivet always meant to reintroduce the 12 year old expression. In 2017 Chivas Brothers stated it was to return within 3 years. Now, just 1 year later the Glenlivet will relaunch the 12 year old expression and add it to the current core range.
The 12 year old will return this summer and will sit just above the Founder’s Reserve in Glenlivet’s core range. A limited number of bottles will be available in a few select markets.
No price indication has been given for the new 12 year old but we believe it will be around £40, the old expression back in 2015 could be bought for around £35. The, soon, entry expression in Glenlivet’s portfolio Founder’s Reserve can be picked up for as little as £22.
