Bruichladdich will relaunch Port Charlotte this June with brand new packaging.
It was announced today Bruichladdich will relaunch Port Charlotte with a new packaging consisting of “an opaque green glass bottle, a paper label, heavier closure, and prominent emboss on the back.”. The whisky will however not change and it will be 100% Islay water, 100% Islay matured and, as always, peated to 40ppm. Four new Port Charlotte releases will come later this year including what will be the first ever permanent Port Charlotte release, the Port Charlotte 10.
Port Charlotte 10, will be available in specialists stores and a 1 l version for travel retail. Available on Bruichladdichs webshop on 4th June, in Europe this June, and in the US in August. Travel Retail from this September.
Port Charlotte Islay Barley 2011, distilled from barley from three Islay farms in 2010. Available on Bruichladdichs webshop on 4th June, in Europe this June, and in the US in August.
Port Charlotte MC:01 2009, matured in Marsala casks and bottled at 56.3% ABV. Travel Retail available from October.
Port Charlotte MRC:01 2010, matured in Bordeaux Oak casks and bottled at 59.2% ABV. Travel Retail available from October.
