Today, Tamdhu released a single cask to mark the 120th anniversary of the Tamdhu Distillery.
The whisky has been carefully selected by the 15-strong distillery team. After a long hard, and presumably good, day’s work they settled on a 1st fill European Oak Sherry Butt. Tamdhu likes to describe it as “… silky smooth with a long-lasting finish and an enviable, dark natural colour.”. This truly amazing looking whisky can be bought now at Tamdhu’s webshop at an RRP ?250. Only 603 bottles are available in this release. Bottles and boxes are individually numbered.
We saw something similar earlier this year being released at Cinderella Whisky Fair. That one was also a 1st fill European Oak Sherry cask, 13 year old, vintage 2004, 55.5% ABV and only 331 bottles were available.
Sources tells?us this sold out in just 2 hours!
